La storia ti vede protagonista nei panni del leggendario eroe svizzero Guglielmo Tell, alle prese con il suo acerrimo nemico Hermann Gessler ed i suoi soldati, che hanno preso prigioniero tuo figlio. Affronterai una serie di livelli pieni di ostacoli e nemici. Ovviamente sarai equipaggiato con la tua fedele arma preferita, la balestra. Grazie ad essa, riuscirai a superare numerosi ostacoli. Spesso, infatti, verranno messe alla prova le tue abilità di valoroso arciere.
Evita il contatto con i nemici e, soprattutto, salta gli ostacoli in modo impeccabile. Il minimo errore ti costerà caro e dovrai iniziare daccapo la missione. Per ogni livello, ti verranno attribuiti dei punteggi in base agli oggetti raccolti sul tuo percorso: le stelle alpine, viene tenuto in considerazione anche il tempo di esecuzione ed il ritrovamento della mela nascosta. Alla classica modalità “salta e corri”, il gioco offre anche altre esperienze ed avventure come, ad esempio, una pericolosa attraversata in barca tra i ghiacciai.
