Europa Universalis IV raggiunge nuovi livelli di flessibilità nella gestione dell’impero e nella simulazione delle relazioni tra gli elementi di gioco, con una maggiore aderenza all’ambientazione storica messa in scena. Le scelte del giocatore hanno un peso maggiore nella prosecuzione del gioco e della storia, con la possibilità di tratteggiare una figura di leader maggiormente marcata. E’ possibile modificare il corso dei 300 anni di storia rappresentati nel gioco ma anche vedere diversi eventi e personaggi storici reali interagire all’interno delle partite.

Mare Nostrum: Il pacchetto introduce tutta una serie di novità riguardanti la navigazione, fra cui azioni diplomatiche, missioni, la fazione dei Pirati Barbari e altro ancora.
